(Best) Live venues in North/East London

1. The Old Blue Last (£)

38 Great Eastern St, Shoreditch, London EC2A 3ES

Conveniently located between Shoreditch High Street station and Old Street Station, the pub (which also appear in a scene of the movie Svengali ✌) hosts gigs almost every day, with usually three bands performing each evening.

Besides, most of the lives are admission free 😊

2. Finsbury Pub (££)

336 Green Lanes, London N4 1BY

Situated right alongside Finsbury Park, the pub holds a lovely terrace so you can BRING YOUR DRINK OUTSIDE. It hosts live events every day, some are free, most are not, but the venue is very nice. Aaand food prices are very reasonable (pizzaaaaaaaa).

3. Rough Trade East (£-££)

Dray Walk, Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London E1 6QL

The music shop in Brick Lane holds great gigs; you can enjoy live music and drinks while browsing through records, books and funny postcards; the only inconvenient is that on weekdays the bands play and finish quite early (19.00-21.00) ☹ So be there on time!

4. The Shacklewell Arms (£)

71 Shacklewell Lane, Dalston, London, E8 2EB

Apart from gigs, the pub is also home of some great Indie night, the Scare to Dance event in particular.

With two separate rooms and a smoking area, is perfect in every season 😊

Tickets mostly under 10£

5. The Dublin Castle (£)

94 Parkway, Camden, London NW1 7

Even if I love this pub since it has a jukebox, so if your fast enough and have some spare change you can put some records on, is the last of the list because of the incredible level of humidity present in the stage room :’) , which always makes me leave with a non-required different hair style.

Admission is usually 7/5 £, depending on the time of the arrival.
