The Best Indie Nights in London

CHEAP! GOOD MUSIC! Get on your dancing shoes (and see how filthy they’ll be the day after 🍻🍻🍻)

Moth club – The Cave Club

Valette Street, E9 6, Hackney

cave The event opens with a gig, followed by a DJ set of psychedelic rock tracks, with some Beatles, Bowie and T-Rex (check out what Rhys Webb posts on the Facebook’s group THE CAVE CLUB).

Get there before 10.30-11 if you want to avoid the queue and the risk to not get in: it might be empty if you arrive early but trust me, it’s impressive how fast that club gets packed! And you can enjoy the photo booth while the place is still quiet.

Second Saturday of the month, 21.00-3.00

Entry: 6£

Mangle E8 / The Rocksteady – Cherry Cola Club Night

cherrycola

My beloved Cherry Cola Club Night has changed many locations in the past three years, from Camden 😥  to Hoxton, then Dalston. Most of the events take now place at the Rocksteady, 574 Kingsland Road, yet the Cherry Cola lads are also hosting some indie nights at the mangleE8, 2-18 Warburton Road, E8 3, a 720 capacity basement events space.

Indie disco – round 2: MangleE8, 26th of May, 21.00-3-00

Tickets: £10

Borderline – Tilted

Orange Yard, Off Manette Streetborderline

Originally called Christmas Club, now, with the brand-new décor of the venue, the Saturday night has become Titled. Same indie rock classics though, with, unfortunately, the inclusion of some commercial tracks (so you can go to the loo or have a cigarette).

Every Saturday, 11.00 – 4.00

Entry: £5

Shacklewell Arms – Scared to Dance

71 Shacklewell Lane, Dalston, E8 2EB

The event sometimes takes place at The Victoria, 451 Queensbridge Road.

Friday Nights, 22.00-3.00

£6 on the door, £4 if you click “attend” on the Facebook event so you can be on the list.

02 Academy 2 Islington – Burn Down The Disco

N1 Centre 16 Parkfield Street, Islington, N1 0PS

The venue looks a bit sloppy to be honest, but if you like a specific band or musician (Blur, Oasis, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Bowie, Nirvana…) you might be lucky enough to enjoy a Saturday night entirely dedicated to your idol.

This Saturday, 25th of March, is dedicated to Joy Division and New order ❤

22.30-3.30

Entry: £6
